With Microsoft 365 Phone System Management, Swisscom takes over parts of the service management of the Microsoft 365 Cloud Service (telephony) and optionally session border controller (SBC) services from the Swisscom data center or on-site at the customer.



Swisscom Microsoft 365 Phone System Management runs operative tasks of Microsoft Teams Phone including:

  • Automation and provisioning of Teams user telephony parameters (LineURI provisioning, voice routing, dial plans etc.)
  • Creation and maintenance of call workflows (hunt groups, IVRs, call groups)
  • Support for Microsoft Teams certified 3rd party add-ons (contact center, compliance recording)
  • Maintenance of PSTN connectivity
  • Implementation and maintenance of hybrid voice routings
  • Support for on-premise and hybrid voice solutions (Skype for Business and AudioCodes session border controllers)
  • Maintenance of Teams devices (IP Phones)
  • Call quality reporting of Microsoft Teams
  • Consulting and professional services
  • Incident and change management

Microsoft 365 Phone System Management does not provide:

  • Identity provisioning in Microsoft Entra ID (except admin accounts for Swisscom operation employees)
  • Licensing management
  • Provisioning and maintenance of Microsoft 365 Group
  • Provisioning and maintenance of Microsoft Teams teams and channels
  • Maintenance of Microsoft Teams apps
  • Maintenance of Microsoft Team Rooms and Surface Hubs
  • Maintenance of any other M365 service like Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune etc.
